Beatriz went to India and when they were down in Kerela they bought us a bag of cardamons for our larder. Usually I separate the seeds from the little green pods, which is somewhat of a chore, having to smash them up and pick out all the little black seeds. So I got to thinking, do I *really* need to do this?
As an experiment I chewed up a pod - ok, quite pistachio like.
Then I chewed a (little) seed. Pow! what an explosion of flavour.
Conclusion: Carry on separating.
